Seven Camping Must-Haves in 2022

#1. A Tent

Of course, you can't camp without a tent! When choosing a tent, make sure it's big enough to comfortably fit all the people sleeping in it. You'll also want to consider the weather conditions you'll be camping in. If you're expecting rain, ensure your tent has a waterproof rainfly.

If you're just camping in your backyard, you can get away with a smaller, cheaper tent. But if you're planning on doing some serious camping, invest in a good quality tent that will last you for years.

#2. Sleeping Bag

Trust us, you don't want to be stuck sleeping on the ground with just a blanket. A good sleeping bag will keep you warm and comfortable all night long. Again, the kind of sleeping bag you need will depend on the weather conditions. For a chilly night, you'll want a warmer bag. But in the summer, a lighter bag will do the trick.

If you have a waterproof sleeping bag, even better! That way, you can use it as a makeshift pillow if your campsite has no pillows.

#3. Camping Pillow

Speaking of pillows, a camping pillow is a must-have if you want a good night's sleep. A regular pillow from your bed just won't cut it. Camping pillows are specifically designed to be comfortable and support your head and neck.

Some even have a built-in pillowcase, so you don't have to worry about packing one. Just make sure your pillow is big enough and comfortable. After all, you want to be able to enjoy the great outdoors, not spend your entire trip tossing and turning at night.

#4. Camping Chair

Yes, you can sit on the ground, but why bother when you can bring a comfortable camping chair? Camping chairs come in all shapes and sizes, so you're sure to find one that fits your needs.

Some are small and lightweight, perfect for backpacking. Others are larger and more sturdy, ideal for sitting around the campfire. And some even have built-in features like cup holders and footrests. So take your pick and bring a camping chair on your next trip.

You'll be glad you did when relaxing by the campfire at night or taking a break from hiking during the day.

#5. Camping Stove

Want to enjoy hot meals while camping? Then you'll need a camping stove. A camping stove is a portable stove that you use to cook food while camping.

Some camping stoves run on propane, while others use butane. There are also camp stoves that run on wood, which is an excellent option if you're looking to save money.

Camping stoves come in different sizes; some even come with features like a built-in grill or oven. So whether you're cooking for one or for a group, there's a camping stove that's perfect for you.

#6. Camping Lantern

A camping lantern will light up your campsite at night and make it easier to find your way around. They're also great for reading or playing games after the sun goes down.

When choosing a camping lantern, you'll want to consider its size, weight, and battery life. You also need to decide if you want a lantern that uses traditional batteries or one that's rechargeable.

And if you want a lantern that's really versatile, look for one with a USB port so you can charge your phone or other devices.

#7. Tarp Poles

What better way to enjoy the outdoors than by camping under the stars? But if you want to camp in comfort, you'll need a tarp and sturdy tarp poles. A tarp is a waterproof material that you can use to create a makeshift shelter.

Tarp shelters are great because they're lightweight and easy to set up. And if you get a tarp with grommets, you can easily attach it to trees or other objects to create a sturdy shelter.

Don't forget to bring some tarp poles along so you can keep your shelter off the ground. That way, you won't have to worry about getting wet if it rains.
