Everbeam LED UV Black Light

Real 365 nm ultraviolet. The beam is nearly invisible, so the room stays dark and only the fluorescent things glow: paint, props, uranium glass, resin, minerals.

What’s in the box

One light, ready to plug in. Nothing to wire.

Three ways to set it up

The bracket is the stand, the wall mount and the ceiling mount. No extra parts.

A black Everbeam 50W 365nm UV light projector with a glowing purple LED light panel inside, shown on a gray stone surface.

On the floor

Set it on the bracket and tilt the head up at the wall, props or backdrop. Bring it to a party, a shoot or a moth sheet and take it home after.

A black Everbeam 50W 385nm UV light fixture mounted on a beige wall, showing a glowing purple and pink LED light panel inside its frame.

On a wall

Two screws through the bracket, then tilt the head down toward the crowd. Height of 8 ft or more keeps the beam out of people's eyes and covers the floor.

A 50W Everbeam 365nm UV light fixture emitting a bright purple light, mounted on a black metal bracket attached to a wooden surface.

From a ceiling or truss

Same slots, upside down. Venues and arcades run several from rafters so the light comes from more than one direction and nothing hides in a shadow.

UV photography and body paint

A dark scene with a tripod-mounted camera or sensor on the right side and many small blue-lit insects flying across the frame against a black background.

Moth sheets and field surveys

How to tell real 365 nm from 395 nm

A lot of "365 nm" floods are 395-405 nm LEDs with a new label. You can test ours in your own hallway the night it arrives. If it fails any of these, send it back within 30 days.

(1) Shadow Test

Hold your hand between the light and a white wall. A 395-405 nm light casts a hard purple shadow. A true 365 nm beam is invisible, so the wall just fluoresces faintly around a soft, barely-there shadow.

(2) Phone Camera Test

Point your phone at the lens from across the room. Camera sensors pick up 365 nm as a dim blue-violet. If the lens looks bright purple to your naked eye, that is visible violet light, not UV.

(3) White Paper Test

Put a sheet of printer paper on a dark floor. Under 365 nm the paper blazes blue-white (that is the optical brightener in the pulp) while the floor around it stays black. Under 395 nm the whole floor is purple.

It runs hot. That's by design.

The most common surprise in our reviews is the back of the light getting too hot to touch a few minutes after switch-on. Here is what is happening and how to set it up so it runs for years.

UV LEDs create heat, and the finned aluminum housing pulls that heat away from the chips. Hot fins mean the cooling is working.

Leave a few inches of open space behind the light. Don't wrap it, box it in or lay it face-down on fabric, so the heat has somewhere to go.

Adjust the angle by the bracket, not the body. Switch off and give it ten minutes to cool before you move or pack it.

Hours-long events and all-night displays are what it's built for, as long as air can move around the fins.

If LEDs ever go dark, we replace the unit.

2-year replacement warranty. No return shipping, no restocking fee.

Questions before you buy

Shipping, returns and warranty questions are answered on their own pages.
These are about the light.

Not the 365 nm. Most "UV lights" are 395–405 nm, which sits at the edge of visible light and washes the room purple. A true 365 nm beam is nearly invisible, so the room stays dark and only fluorescent things glow. The 395 nm does give a visible purple wash; that is what it is for.

Go by the space. On 365 nm, one 50 W lights up to 530 sq ft in the dark and one 100 W up to 1,220 sq ft. On 395 nm, one 10 W covers about 100 sq ft and one 50 W up to 530 sq ft. The calculator above works it out from your room's length and width.

Yes, with the 365 nm. Most 3D-print resins and UV resins and glues cure at 365–405 nm. Check your resin's label for its curing wavelength and follow its recommended time.

Camera sensors pick up 365 nm as a dim blue-violet, so a strong 365 nm light looks weak on screen. Judge it by how brightly fluorescent things glow, not by the lens. It is UV-A, generally safe for skin and eyes in normal use, but don't stare into the lens.

It is IP66 sealed, so rain is fine; don't submerge it. It runs from 0 to 100 °F. The back gets too hot to touch a few minutes after switch-on: the aluminum body is the heat sink doing its job. Leave a few inches of open air behind it.

There is an on/off switch on the power cord. It is not dimmable, so don't run it through a wall dimmer.

If LEDs go dark within two years, we replace the unit, with no return shipping and no restocking fee. If it isn't the glow you expected, return it within 30 days for a full refund.
